The AutoScan TC is constructed in a manner similar to the AutoScan HV/EHV series if ATE, and is designed to automatically carry out the following tests On Load Tap Changers as per IEC-214:

Measure Transition timings of tap change for 3 phases simultaneously

Mechanical Test – 5 cycles each for Raise and Lower operations

Measure torque of operating shaft

Measure tap position

Test interlocks

Check wiring

Supply voltage variation on motor at lower, rated and higher supply voltage

(limits settable as % of rated)- 1cycle each for Raise and Lower operations

Measure motor current and spring charging time

HV Insulation Test –2 kV on secondary circuit.

Documentation, Test Reports and recording of results of other tests.

All the benefits of automation as in the case of AutoScan HV/EHV series are realizable by using the AutoScan TC.
