CRM 100B operates on a rechargeable battery as well as Mains supply. It has a built-in constant current source, a precision instrumentation amplifi er, digital readout and control logic.A pulse of 100A DC is passed through the test object and voltage drop is sensed using the classical Kelvin’s 4 wire method to measure contact resistance. The instrument measures and directly displays the values of resistive and total leakage current. it is capable to work accurately and safely in swithchyard upto 765kV.

SA30i measures Third Harmonic Resistive leakage Current (THRC) with system harmonic compensation in accordance with IEC 60099-5 B2 (which is best recommended), whereas SA10i, a hand held Leakage Current Meter measures THRC without system harmonic compensation in accordance with IEC 60099-5 B1.

SAMon from SCOPE is a powerful Online Leakage Current Monitoring system for continuous monitoring of metal oxide (Zno) Surge Arrester leakage current in live EHV / UHV substations.

It consists of portable Field Unit which is intalled near SA in IP enclosure, a PC at control room on which SAMon software is intalled and a Communication link between the two.

SAmon monitors Third Harmonic Resistive Leakage Current (THRC) which reflects the healthiness of SA, as per IEC 60099-5 B2.


Field Unit contuinously measures THRC at pre-set time interval and sends to central PC located in control room for monitoring all SAs in substation, multiple Field Units are used.
